Charity promotion – NGO video production (case study)

The brief

The Flying Seagull Project is a group of performers and entertainers who specialise in travelling the globe to refugee camp, providing laughter and fun to children facing hardship. We were approached to create an updated awareness video production film to highlight the charity’s unique, commendable and hugely important role in bringing some joy to these children in crisis.

The approach

Charity video production project

As festival season was fast approaching, we had no time to travel to locations and film fresh video production content so were provided a large amount of elements to utilise – from professional still photography to iPhone footage of the Seagulls at work. It was important to shoot a new video interview with Ash, the hugely inspirational and articulate owner of the charity. We felt it important to shoot this outside, using their colourful portable stage as a backdrop, as-if actually on location. It was then getting the feel and mood right. We disagreed over the music and below is the music that they went for in the end. It’s fascinating to see just how much the music can change the feel of a film and this is a wonderful example.
