Advocacy video – global awareness (case study)

The brief

To create a short series of films to heighten awareness of Trachoma. Trachoma is a serious eye disease, prevalent in poorer countries, which can cause blindness if left untreated. The condition is, however, easily cured with the fairly straightforward medical procedures.

The approach

Charity awareness video

A two week trip to Ethiopia was arranged in some of the hardest hit areas. The aim was to focus on one woman’s plight in a rural African village, outlining her daily struggle with the disease. That formed the backbone of a TV documentary. This video was a broader film to educate the public and to encourage charity donations.
