Sightsavers

The brief

To create a short series of films to heighten awareness of Trachoma. Trachoma is a serious eye disease, prevalent in poorer countries, which can cause blindness if left untreated, but is easily cured with the right medical assistance.

The approach

Charity awareness video

A two week trip to Ethiopia was arranged in some of the hardest hit areas. The aim was to focus on one woman’s plight in a rural African village, outlining her daily struggle with the disease. That formed the backbone of a TV documentary. This video was a broader film to educate the public and to encourage charity donations.
