The approach
First we had to devise a narrative. We felt it best to convey the message through a combination of voiceover and simple, animated text. With assistance from Next Energy Capital Director’s we achieved the script and were then able to focus on the approach. Video stock was to play an equal part in the videos production coupled with fresh shot footage from their offices and various solar farms using a drone. We were persuasive in keeping an uplifting, cheerful tone to the production – the sound design was key – whilst also highlighting important messages. We devised a dark ‘shadowy’ template so that the light solar theme would pop and used the company colours to keep it on brand. The voiceover was performed by the company COO (rather than a professional artist) to give the video a more personable, down-to-earth identity.
